This monograph has allowed us to present a psychoeducational view of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We confirm here that research in education contributes its own evidence and specific models for identifying this problem.

The first paper gives us a general overview and review of the problem (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.569348">Cachón-Zagalaz et al.</ext-link>). Next, a joint editorial paper presents a novel theoretical model that provides for a purely psychoeducational analysis of the pandemic (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.613881">de la Fuente, Kauffman, et al.</ext-link>).

A second group of articles presents the psychological and emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in students of different ages. Several papers address university students (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.621863">Fernández-Castillo</ext-link>). Next, other research studies address the preuniversity level, in childhood and adolescence (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.647645">Andrés-Romero et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.646027">Berasategi et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.594256">Martarelli et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.585587">Valadez et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.592670">Zaccoletti et al.</ext-link>). Finally, two studies show the psychological impact on students with specific educational needs (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.565516">Lavigne-Cerván et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.648000">Soriano-Ferrer et al.</ext-link>).

One especially relevant aspect is the behavioral change in technology use during the pandemic (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.648552">Nieto-Escamez and Roldán-Tapia</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.590196">Obrero-Gaitán et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.02193">Provenzi et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.584976">Yang et al.</ext-link>). Other changes in the teaching-learning process have also come about during this period (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.647991">Buško and Bezinović</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.626340">de la Fuente et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.648443">Jelińska and Paradowski</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.561289">Xu et al.</ext-link>; <ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2020.620718">Ozamiz-Etxebarria et al.</ext-link>).

An interesting closing paper offers the perspective of psychoeducational support that has been provided during the pandemic (<ext-link ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://doi.org/10.3389/fpsyg.2021.647740">Karaman et al.</ext-link>).
