There was a mistake in Figure 3G as published. The images for the MR409-treated group and the control group were inadvertently duplicated due to a file handling mistake during figure preparation. This was an unintentional error and does not reflect the actual experimental results, which were correctly recorded and remain valid. The corrected Figure 3 appears below.

Histological images and bar graphs depict staining and protein expression in kidney tissues under different conditions. Panels A and E show Masson’s trichrome staining, while C and G show Sirius red staining, comparing Ctr, db/db, and MR409, or Ctr, STZ, and MR409. Bar graphs B, D, F, and H quantify positive staining areas. Panels I and J include Western blot analyses and bar graphs for TGFβ1 and fibronectin protein expression across the conditions. Results indicate variations in staining and protein levels with statistical significance marked by symbols.
