<p>In the original article, there was an error in <bold>Discussions</bold>, paragraph five. Due to the error in <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F8">Figure&#x20;8D</xref>, the original paragraph five should be removed. The original paragraph to be removed appears below:</p>
<p>&#x201c;The ground (about &#x2212;9&#xb0;C) images (<xref ref-type="fig" rid="F8">Figure&#x20;8D</xref> right, observed by microscope) showed that the snowflakes were also transparent and regular, revealing that the water vapor was scarce in lower altitudes. The snowflake shape showed mainly hexagonal plates, and had little rimed dendrites, which was also consistent with previous observations (Hou et&#x20;al., 2014; Chang et&#x20;al., 2019). It is reflected that snowflake growth mechanism was relatively simple in lower altitudes; most snowflakes increased by aggregation process, and there was basically no agglutination or clustering process in snowflake growth (Taylor et&#x20;al., 2016).&#x201d;</p>
<p>The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.</p>
