<p>In the original article, there was a mistake in <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F2">Figures 2</xref>, <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F3">3</xref> as published. The TEM results in the Sham group in <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F2">Figure 2A</xref> inadvertently used the Sham group of mfge8-KO mice. In <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F3">Figure 3A</xref>, the image of MPO with Vehicle treatment was misused from pancreas in CD11b group. The corrected <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F2">Figures 2</xref>, <xref ref-type="fig" rid="F3">3</xref> and its caption appear below:</p>
